Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), "health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of illness or disease"; however, taking this definition into account, medicine most of the time is focused on being curative, having only the responsibility of relieving symptoms and diseases. After the personal analysis that emerged from the definition of health described by the WHO, I began to create my own definition of medicine as a profession, where whoever practices it as a doctor can or should not only practice the clinic, but also has the opportunity to develop professionally within thousands of branches related to solving and addressing health problems.
