Peer review policy

At REMUS, manuscript evaluation is conducted through a rigorous peer review system, following a double-blind model and in accordance with institutional guidelines approved by the Student and Faculty Editorial Board. This process is guided by ethical principles of impartiality, confidentiality, and academic excellence, aligned with international standards established by COPE, ICMJE, and the EQUATOR Network.

We consider it essential to ensure transparency and academic quality at every stage of the editorial process. For this reason, we present below a flowchart that summarizes our scientific arbitration system, which has been designed following international best editorial practices. This visual diagram outlines the five review stages that each manuscript undergoes, from submission to publication. These stages include internal quality screening, evaluation by student and faculty committees, and external peer review.
