We report a case of Takayasu arteritis in a female patient presenting with hypertension and diminished pulses in the left limbs. Takayasu arteritis is a large-vessel vasculitis primarily affecting the aorta and its major branches, with an unknown pathophysiology. It is a rare disease, and its incidence and prevalence in Mexico are not well established. The typical presentation occurs in women between 10 and 40 years of age. The diagnosis should be suspected in patients with diminished or absent pulses, and early detection is crucial to prevent severe ischemic complications, such as retinopathy, cerebrovascular disease, and premature death.
