Persistent Identifier Policy

All articles published in REMUS receive a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assigned through Crossref, which allows for unique identification, permanent location, and visibility in editorial management systems, repositories, and academic databases.

The DOI is included both in the article header and in the OJS exportable metadata under the OAI-PMH protocol.

Since 2025, the use of the ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) has been mandatory for authors, as a mechanism to ensure correct attribution of authorship and the linking of academic history with their scientific output.

During the submission process, all authors are asked to include their ORCID. If you do not have one, please register for free at: https://orcid.org

REMUS encourages the use of references containing persistent identifiers (such as DOIs, PMIDs, or ISBNs) and ensures that these identifiers remain active in the XML, HTML, and PDF metadata of each article, to facilitate interoperability with databases, academic search engines, and automatic citation systems.

The use of persistent identifiers is part of REMUS's commitment to editorial quality, open science, and the transparent circulation of knowledge produced by students and faculty. This policy supports the journal's participation in indexing networks, directories, and long-term digital preservation systems.
