Abstract

Dermatological emergencies are clinical situations that, if not identified in time, can be life-threatening for patients. Two of the most important conditions are Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. While both present as severe mucocutaneous dermatoses, the difference lies in the percentage of body surface area affected, being <10% and >30%, respectively.
