Open access policy

REMUS fully subscribes to the principle that open access to scientific knowledge is an essential component for the advancement of medicine, academic training, and equity in the generation of knowledge.

In line with this commitment, REMUS offers immediate and free open access to all of its content, without article processing charges (APCs) or financial or administrative restrictions for authors or readers. This policy is based on the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and responds to the recommendations of international organizations such as DOAJ, COPE, and the ICMJE.

All manuscripts accepted and published in REMUS are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license permits the use, distribution, reproduction, transformation, and public communication of articles in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the journal.

Authors retain their proprietary rights and are authorized to freely archive and disseminate the final published version of their work in institutional repositories, academic platforms, personal websites, or other dissemination channels, provided that the original source of publication in REMUS is cited.

This policy guarantees the transparency, integrity, and availability of knowledge generated within the student environment and promotes an editorial culture based on ethics, collaboration, and universal access to science.
