Anti-plagiarism policy

The authors of all works published in REMUS are solely responsible for the content of their submissions. They must ensure that their manuscripts are original and unpublished, thereby releasing the Editorial Committees and the Universidad de Sonora from any liability.

To detect plagiarism or textual similarity, all submitted manuscripts will be analyzed using iThenticate software on two occasions:

  1. Upon initial receipt, during the preliminary review phase, to determine whether the article can proceed to formal evaluation.

  2. After the final version has been submitted, following the peer review process and incorporation of the required revisions.

The maximum allowed similarity index is less than 10%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors along with the similarity report, giving them an opportunity to resubmit a revised version.
If the revised manuscript is resubmitted and still exceeds the similarity limit, the article will be permanently rejected for publication in REMUS.
