The leading cause of death worldwide is acute myocardial infarction, and in order to reduce mortality rates, it is essential that medical personnel are properly informed and familiar with international management guidelines. If a patient arrives at the emergency department with chest pain, diagnosis should be made within 10 minutes using clinical data, electrocardiographic findings, and cardiac enzyme tests. To begin timely and appropriate treatment, it is necessary to classify acute coronary syndrome based on the presence or absence of ST-segment elevation. Once coronary circulation is restored, the patient should be transferred to the intensive care unit, and early initiation of cardiovascular rehabilitation is recommended to ensure better recovery.
